Flood Service Center

The Flood Service Center provided by Marsh offers quotations and identification of flood exposures.

New Placement Requirements

1. Complete Application - macros must be enabled on the application.

2. Life of Loan Flood Zone Determination - obtain through Marsh using the Request Forms menu.

3. Elevation Certificate - see special instructions below.

a) Post-Firm¹ buildings in a special flood zone will require an elevation certificate.

b) Pre-Firm² buildings in a special flood zone do not require an EC but it is recommended that an EC be obtained.

¹ Post-FIRM: a building for which construction or substantial improvement occurred after December 31, 1974 or on or after the effective date of an initial Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), whichever is later.

² Pre-FIRM: a building for which construction or substantial improvement occurred on or before December 31, 1974 or before the effective date of an initial Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM).
